Curious Cinema Review

Write for us

We welcome pitches that help readers see a film subject more clearly: a genre convention, a storytelling choice, a kind of performance, or a useful way to watch. Proposals are sent through the Contact page.

What to pitch

Bring one defined question, a clear reason it matters to film viewers, and a sense of what the finished piece would explain. We are interested in evergreen ideas that can be useful without relying on current statistics, personal access, or unverified claims.

What makes a strong proposal

Name the subject and the central idea in a few sentences. Explain the angle that makes it distinct from a general review or plot summary, and note any films or examples you expect to discuss. Keep the scope manageable and make clear whether the piece is explanatory, comparative, historical, or a viewing guide.

Sending a proposal

Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a short outline and any relevant writing samples or links you wish us to consider. Please do not send a complete article unless it has been requested.
